Chemical/Physical Nature

ZC-5639 resin is an orthophthalic unsaturated polyester resin with phthalic anhydride, maleic anhydride and standard diol as main raw materials, which has been dissolved in styrene crosslinking monomer and has medium viscosity and medium reactivity.

Benefits and Application

ZC-5639 resin has high mechanical strength, high heat resistance and excellent water resistance. It is suitable for winding, pultrusion, hand lay-up and other molding processes. It can be used for pipes, storage tanks, anchors, doors and windows, cable trays, grilles, automotive parts, boats and other FRP products. It complies with the JC/T1092-2008 standard for mechanically molded winding resins and the GB/T21238-2007 standard for FRP sand-filled pipes, and can be used for continuous winding processes. It has passed the China Classification Society (CCS) certification and can be used for shipbuilding. Certificate number: NJ14W00014.

Application Guidelines

1. ZC-5639 resin does not contain wax, accelerators, or thixotropic agents.
2. Recommended curing system: 0.4-2.0% cobalt accelerator (1% Co), 1.0-2.5% MEKP curing agent.
3. Recommended curing system for pultrusion process: 0.5-2.0% BPO curing agent; 0.5-1.5% TBPB curing agent. The actual selection should be determined based on specific equipment, products, process temperature, pultrusion speed, and other factors. When drawing thick products, it is recommended to add a low shrinkage agent to reduce shrinkage.
4. ZC-5639 series resins are suitable for the production of structural layers of various types of FRP boats in inland rivers, lakes and marine FRP boats. 5. ZC-5639 resin is suitable for the structural layer of winding pipes, sand-filled pipes and storage tank.
